Terravista was a standout through the 2014 edition of the Spring Carnival and has been confirmed for a competitive return in the 2015 Premiere Stakes field.

Returning last spring for success in each of the Group 3 Show County Quality (1200m) and Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1100m), Terravista was unlucky to run fifth in a fanning end to the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m), but responded in the best way possible when victorious in the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m).

While unable to reach the same racing highs through autumn this year, the Captain Rio gelding has trialled well in the lead-up to the Premiere Stakes.

Trainer Joe Pride is set to launch a two-pronged attack on the 2015 Premiere Stakes after also confirming Tiger Tees in the final field.

A Group 1 winner having taken out last year’s edition of The Galaxy (1100m), Tiger Tees was a standout for Pride last spring in taking out each of the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap (1200m) and Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) before placing second in the Group 2 Tramway Handicap (1400m).

Unable to beat a single runner home in two Group 1 starts in autumn, the Dubawi gelding will need to jump well to find the fore of the field early from barrier 7.

Generalife was a standout for Godolphin through the recent Brisbane Winter Carnival and has been confirmed for a racing return from barrier 5 in the 2015 Premiere Stakes.

Posting an impressive nine wins and as many minors through 30 career starts so far, returned to racing this year for an impressive win in the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on March 28th.

Progressing to fifth in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) on April 18th, the Lonhro gelding charged home to finish third in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) before again finishing third in the major Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) a fortnight later.

Group 1 winner Rebel Dane will leave from the rails draw in the 2015 Premiere Stakes, while That’s A Good Idea will need plenty of luck from barrier 8.
